Twenty seems to be a magic number for me- assuming I believe in magic numbers.

Due to my wrist, I have been afraid to try some exercises. I finally gave in and did wall pushups- basic, simple wall pushups that I couldn’t do before. I completed 20 of them without stopping. My wrists didn’t hurt, but my shoulders felt it. Tonight, I’m going to try mixing up reps of squats and wall pushups. I’m hoping switching it up will allow me to do more.

The other big 20 is 20 pounds. That’s right- I’ve lost 20 pounds on Paleo/ Nerd Fitness. This averages out to about 2.5 pounds lost a week. And I had 2 gains from deciding to go off plan while entertaining. I am so happy. Even though I don’t have everything quite figured everything out yet, I feel like I’m walking on the right path.

John Green, in his awesome nerdiness said, “In our hyper secular world, worship is still inevitable. But it’s vital to remember that our gods don’t choose us, we choose them.” Yes, John Green is one of my gods. But Steve Kamb is a god too. He’s down to earth and so motivating. His post on The Beginner’s Guide to the Paleo Diet gave me the info I needed to get it started and he made it look so easy!

So, thanks Steve for helping me take the first step. Thank you interwebs for listening!

About taureanfreak

I am a 29 year old working in a job I love. I have a host of physical ailments from injuries- seriously, I'm like an old woman. I am trying to find happiness by changing what I do in life. Mostly that entails eating better and moving more. I also love learning for the sake of learning. The quote below is from Lord of the Rings and sums up how I feel. "What more do you want to know?" "The names of all the stars, and of all living things, and the whole history of Middle-Earth, and Over-heaven, and of the Sundering Seas. Of course! What else?" -The Two Towers
